I retired from the US Forest Service on December, 31 2020 after over 30 years in wildland fire and forestry. I was fortunate to be asked to join the Grassroots Wildland Firefighters as Executive Secretary shortly after. I still support wildland fire as an “emergency hire.” Additionally, I am a consultant for the US Forest Service’s International Programs, currently working with firefighters in Ukraine, Republic of Georgia, and North Macedonia. I’m also an over-thinker, traveler, lover of cats and dogs, voracious reader, slow runner, drinker of bold reds and malty beers, live music lover, voice for the underdog, advocate. Obsessively contemplative of my legacy.
What Else I do

SUP, yo?
I love the water. Any form. The last couple of years I’ve taken up stand up paddleboarding (SUPing). We have some nice little lakes and reservoirs here in OR that are perfect for SUPing.
